Another American football saga. When the pro players go on strike for more money towards the end of the season, desperate team owners bring in second-stringers to fulfill their match commitments. We follow one team, and in particular, their quarterback, who has a problem performing well under extreme pressure. Will he be able to pull himself together as they make their way towards the playoffs?
Ian Douglas: American football continues to baffle me, still looking not much more than a costumed streetfight. The plotline is as predictable as can be, from the results to the love story. Seems to be the kiddie version of ''Any Given Sunday'', especially considering the mostly tame language.
Clinton van Deventer (31): Very good movie.
Lindy Rossouw (20): Even though the plot and some of the dialogue of the movie was very predictable, the movie was hilarious! Two of the characters in the movie, the ''wiry'' Welsh football player and the ex-army football player, really saved this movie with their antics. An absolute must if you don't want a lot of drama, but would like to relax and have a lot of fun watching losers become heroes.
