Ian Douglas: another critic at the preview asked my what I thought of this film, I replied "dull", to which he assented. In spite of good performances, the story just ambles along while the heroine tries to make up her mind: choose a stable, high-society life with a man she does not love, or risk everything on a scoundrel... Only in the movies, I suppose.... It may appeal more to women.
