The cast of once-popular TV sci-fi show (like Star Trek) get abducted by some aliens, who mistook the episodes for news reports and now need the TV stars' skills to deal with their own alien invasion on their distant planet. The film is an over-the-top spoof of the Star Trek genre.
Ian Douglas: I walked into this movie ''cold'' and it took me 15 minutes to realise that it was an over-the-top spoof and not a hammily acted sci-fi epic. After that, it was an enjoyable comedy, if a bit self-conscious.
Andrew Simpson (17): Wonderful blend of comedy and science fiction. A real spoof on the Star Trek movies. Great!
David Easterling (41): Not as consistently hilarious as the clips suggest, but still a very amusing film, with great special effects, a feel-good ending, and enough of a plot to link the gags together. For me, the alien delegation stole the show, and at times had the audience giggling uncontrollably. Unless you like all your movies on the heavy side you should enjoy it. Fellow treckies will love it.
Guinevere Whelan (23): I have told everyone I want to go and watch this film. Being a Star Trek fan I found the way the film made fun of it self very amusing. One of the best comedies I have EVER seen!
