A woman is leading a curious double life. When she goes to sleep at night, she continues living another life. In one life, she is a mother in rural France, while in the other, she is a single career woman in New York. She knows one is real and one a dream, but she can't tell which is which. After seeking professional help in both lives, she slowly comes to understand what is happing and which is the real life. The catalyst is when she falls in love with a different man in each life.
