Set on an unnamed and mysterious planet with three suns, giving perpetual daylight. A marooned group of tourists are struggling to find a way to continue their journey. They discover an abandoned research station, and begin repairing its emergency escape vehicle. Then a once-every-22-years event occurs - a planetary eclipse that plunges the planet into pitch darkness. This is the trigger that allows a variety of local beasts, which are light-sensitive, to emerge and attack the tourists. It then becomes a life-and-death struggle between these creatures and our heroes.

Ian Douglas: The American critics raved about this film, for me it was just another kill-the-monsters, guess-who-dies-next thriller. As a thriller, it succeeds, even though the plot is riddled with loopholes and the monsters look very fake.
