Ian Douglas: This film has a weird ''feel'' to it that is difficult to explain. The characters all seemed detached from reality, as if they are there but not there. Some of the routine matters, like stripping naked for hyperjumps, make a change from the normal sci-fi fare. Also the practice of making love in public, more or less. Other than that, the film resolves to being another ''kill the monster'' thriller.
