An autistic woman leaves a mental institution to live with her brother, where she succeeds in causing him great embarrasment. Luckily, however, a doctor come along who performs an experimental operation which is wildly successful - the quiet woman becomes an outrageous extrovert, causing hilarity and winning friends wherever she goes.
