Based on characters from the US TV show ''Saturday Night Live'', this is the familiar tale of a love-sick teenage girl who thinks that if she wins the local talent contest, all will be well and the boy of her dreams will dump his bitchy girlfriend and rush to her side. It may be fresher for us, not having been exposed to the SNL skits.
