The Talented Mr. Ripley

A poor American student gets the opportunity to go to Italy to fetch a rich man's son. Once there, however, he realises the possibilities of living forever in a holiday environment, with someone else's money. After an accident, he starts impersonating the rich kid in an effort to cover his tracks, and from then on, things get more complicated, tense and violent, as he is driven to increasingly desperate measures to maintain the façade and extravagent lifestyle. It doens't help that he is in love with the rich guy's girlfriend, while another heiress has her eyes on him...
