October Sky
Set in the late 1950's, our hero is a teenager fascinated by the launch of Sputnik. He resolves to build his own rocket, and the
film chronicles his struggles to achieve this. He has to battle with rejection by family and friends, as well as his own ignorance
of the topic. Based on a true story, your opinion is likely to vary with your political and philosophical outlook, which explains
the wide discrepancy in critical opinion.
108 minutes, Parental Guidance. Drama, Family movie. You can usually find additional (copyrighted) pictures, trailers, etc, on the Official Site. |

Patrick O'Donoghue: Pretty Cool.
Dana Diemert (16): I find the movie October Sky completely inspiring. It shows us all that no matter what we can achieve anything as long as we believe it. This movie reaches deep down into your soul and grasps the better part of your life by living a true dream.
