Ian Douglas: I fail to understand the awards and high ratings, maybe it is more meaningful for American audiences. Two critics walked out of the preview. There are two messages in the film, both aimed at American Blacks, but they could have made a 5 minute short to deliver that. The picture frequently goes in and out of focus, I'm not sure if this is incompetence or some advanced filmographic metaphor...
