The 13th Warrior

An Arab banished from his homeland meets a gang of vikings and is leaned upon to go with them to Scandinavia and help them in fighting the ''Wendol'', nasty creatures gnawing on human flesh and destroying everything in their path. Once there he is drawn into the battles to defeat the monsters, overcoming his own fears in the process. The exposure to foreign cultures is also rather shocking to him.

Ian Douglas: ''The Maginificent Seven'' + ''Braveheart'' + ''Indiana Jones''. Lots of action, terror, blood and gore. The writers are geographically, lingually, religiously and anthropologically clueless, but don't let that get in the way of a good bloody brawl.

Vanessa Govender: Really a good movie to watch. Different from Antonio Banderas' usual roles...

Stan Immelman: Starts off promisingly but fades towards the end. Rather an anticlimax at the end!

Vanessa Govender: Great movie. Could do with a better storyline though.
