Director Bowfinger makes a final attempt to become famous. He wants Kit Ramsey to star in his new film. Unfortunately Kit does not want to star in his movie and has no interest in Bowfinger's project. Being determined as never before, Bowfinger decides to shoot the movie anyway and that Ramsey will be the star, he just won't know it. With the help of his stupid crew and supporting cast, Bowfinger follows Ramsey everywhere shooting scenes on the fly. And the ones he can't get with Kit? Jiff, a nerdy look-alike, is happy to serve as his stand-in...
