Tango
Mario, who is on the verge of a mid-life crises, drives his girlfriend away, then becomes obsessed with
producing the definitive tango experience in his own tango show, and reclaiming his youth -- through a young tango dancer.
He is approached by a gangster, in a tango bar while he is trying to unwind, who turns out to be one of
the show backers. Like most gangsters, this one has a girlfriend and she also wants to try out for Mario's show.
And what begins as a favour soon turns into an affair whose ill-timed intensity threatens both of their lives.
105 minutes, Parental Guidance. Drama, On the Art Circuit.

Ian Douglas: A real "art" movie - the director went to a lot of trouble to get pretty and interesting images and music. However he takes 2 hours to tell a 10 minute story, by making every second scene a tango dance. That's great if you get a kick out of watching the tango (or need free lessons) but gets a bit tedious after a while.
