Finally, after 25 years, the cult horror classic makes it onto SA screens. The film set record levels for terror and gore. Basically it is about a cannabalistic family who prey on travellers, attacking them with various tools to kill and chop them up, and then making a meal... Not for the faint-hearted.

Robert Haynes: A true classic of the horror genre. An assault to the senses - totally... Not nearly as gruesome as some may expect - there is very little onscreen bloodshed - the terror is purely psychological which is far more horrifying than blood and gore galore. Do yourself a favour and see this movie only if you want - I repeat want to be scared s**tless.
Bridget Brown: Very poor - low budget - beware all video shop owners, take that movie off your racks, or rent it out for free.
Fabjen Salas: Extraordinary.
Andrew Simpson: Brutal and unrelentless horror. A true classic. One of the scariest films ever.
