This sad story deals with an American family, with a daughter, who adopt a French boy. The two children are experiencing difficulties during adolescence and their search for their true identity, while their father is busy dying of heart-disease. The boy is trying to forgive his real parents for abandoning him as well as accepting his adopted family. The girl, however, thinks that she will find growth and inner fulfillment is finding the right boyfriend.
