Apt Pupil

Based on a novella by Stephen King, this film tries to explore the question of why people do the things they do, specifically, why are people able to do bad things like commit genocide. The question is explored through the eyes of a high school pupil, who discovers and blackmails an ex-nazi into telling him about his experiences as a guard in a World War II concentration camp. These tales affect the boy in ways he did not expect. Then things go wrong and life gets more complicated. The boy discovers his own capacity for evil...

Balki Bartokomus: Good movie.

Robert Haynes: Outstanding, truly disturbing horror/thriller for those tired of pretty boys and girls running away from masked killers - Ian Mckellan is a Godlike actor who oozes screen presence and Brad Renfro holds his own - truly frightening in places - read frightening NOT gruesome - this isn't SCREAM meets anything !
