Karakter
A period Dutch drama, with complex characters who haunt you for days afterwards. Basically the tale of
a young man's struggle to raise his position in the world, while all the time being thwarted -- and helped --
by his father, who is angry at his mother because she would not marry him. Personally, I found it better than
the American critics, this may be because our culture has more in common with the Dutch than the USA does.
