A drug-addled surgeon who's spent nearly a year on suspension falls into the company of a pyschopathic counterfeiter, his beautiful moll and assorted henchmen, all in the hopes of realizing his dream of once again practicing medicine. This leads him to experience considerable moral anguish, which he shares with the audience.
