Dark City

This film is based on a recurring nightmare which the director had when a child. A man wakes up in a cold bath, with amnesia and a dead woman in the room next door. He soon finds out that nothing is what it seems, and things change and move around when you least expect it. He discovers that a race of powerful aliens are responsible. While trying to solve the mystery, he has to deal with the cops who want to pin a murder charge on him.
The film has some good special effects, although one reviewer compared it to a music video.

Nick Soper: Not normally the kind of movie I'd like, but I did! One of the best ending sequences to a movie I have ever seen.

Bruce Humphrey: An innovative science-fiction movie thats starts off TOTALLY confusing (to put it mildly!) and then becomes more and more lucid (clear) as we live with our main character who slowly but surely finds out the true story behind the illusion. Your head swims with confusion and amazement at the effects and the story. Only for us eccentric SCI-FI enthusiasts! I feel this movie sets a new precedent for imaginative special effects gone wild. Only go and see it if you like crazy stories!

Warren Radloff: R.E.Feist meets Kafka - wonderful.
