A charismatic preacher discovers that his wife is having an affair. One day, he strikes out at the man (wrong target, surely? - Ed) and succeeds in putting him into a coma. This little incident forces him to hightail it out of town, and he travels around until he settles in a mainly-black area. There he begins building another church, while developing another relationship on the side. Although the film was Oscar-nominated, reviews have been mixed.
