Bruce Humphrey: Icelandic movie with english subtitles. Set in a village where the locals live in the temporary "barracks" left behind by the Americans after their defense of the territory in World War II. The greatest aim in life of the youths here is to leave the squalor of the village and emigrate to the USA. As the old spiritualistic grandmother says: "Men should do more with their lives than eat and fart!". Unusual and entertaining movie.
