The Jackal
This film has very little in common with the 25 year old "The Day of the Jackal", even though it is supposed to
be based on that script (but not, somehow, on the novel). A Russian criminal hires the Jackal to knock off the head
of the American FBI. The Yanks learn of this and contact their Russian counterparts. They decide to release a
captive IRA member to track down the Jackal, as he is the only guy they know who knows what the Jackal, a master
of disguise, looks like. Somewhere along the way the target switches to the First Lady.Expect lots of action and violence, dramatic scenery changes, and major holes in the plot. 124 minutes, No persons under 16 (Violence, Language). Action, Thriller. You can usually find additional (copyrighted) pictures, trailers, etc, on the Official Site. |

| The Moviesite Fan Club comments |
| Laetitia Loubser: Bruce Willis is not a actor to play a role where he has to relay on non- verbal communication. He need to be able to speak and really kick butt. Richard Gere's performance overshadows him totally!
Bruce Humphrey: "Maybe we will never know who he really was". Bruce Willis and Richard Gere are great actors but this movie doesn't do them justice. It is a pleasant movie to go and see if you are bored.
Patrick Millin: Excellent action movie.
Thomas Kruger: Being one of the probable few who has The Day of the Jackal on my "most boring list", I found The Jackal most entertaining.
Tania van Buren: The Assignment is much better! Good performance by Bruce Willis.
Rowan Atkins: Great escapism movie, plots got a few holes, but who cares with this kinda movie?
Nick Soper: Bruce Willis never put a foot wrong in this movie, but on a whole, it was all too predictable. Had it's moments, the end NOT being one of them.
Paul van der Westhuizen: Good to see Bruce Willis as a bad guy again.
