A high-powered movie executive, who specialises in ultra-violent movies, is alienated from his family by his busy work life. Then one day he experiences the violence first-hand when he is kidnapped and nearly killed. Forced to disappear for a while, he takes refuge with a Mexican family.
Meantime, Big Brother was watching, and the surveillance expert gets involved in solving the mystery, as does our hero-cum-victim. Meantime his wife decides to divorce him, while another cop on the case gets romantically involved with a stuntwoman.
