The Postman Another futuristic drama. In the year 2013, America is devastated, and the common man severely oppressed. Our hero arrives at a settlement in a borrowed Postman uniform. This is taken as a sign by the residents, who see him as a saviour come to rid them of their evil, murderous overlord. The hero eventually gets around to doing something, having a love affair along the way. The overlord sees that a lot of innocent people get killed too. Bruce Humphrey: Kevin Costner in full flight! An American Flag-waving, western set in the future. I think this movie has his greatest personal stamp on it since "Dances with Wolves". Strangely enough it reminds me of "Jeremiah Johnson" which I consider the greatest movie that Robert Redford ever made. It is a bit drawn out (almost 3 hours!). Go see it if you are a Kevin Costner fan. Robert Haynes: Gimme a B...gimme an O...gimme an R... gimme an I...gimme an N ...gimme a G...what does it spell...a movie made in hell !!!
