Our hero, recently released from prison after 14 years for a bombing spree, sets up a boxing school for Protestant and Catholics boys, in an attemt to let them get to know each other and so become friends. However this plan backfires and causes more violence in the community.
Meantime, he tries to catch on some romance, and begins dating the daughter of the local IRA leader, who just happens to be married to a man still in jail. This puts her under a lot of pressure.
