The Leading Man

A love triangle (quadrangle?) set in London's theatre world. Our hero, an American playing the lead in a British play, offers to seduce the director's wife as revenge for the director having an affair with the female lead in the play. The leading man is naturally very business-like in this extra-curricular activity, going so far as to present the director with a bill for 'services rendered'.
The performances have generally been praised, but the film as a whole less so.
