A slow-moving yet delightful drama. A somewhat-backward man is released from a prison for the criminally insane, after serving 25 years for a double murder he committed as a child. He returns to his home town, and befriends a young boy. As a consequence of this, he also makes friends with the boy's mother, which somewhat upsets the mother's boyfriend. From there, the drama builds to its conclusion...
The performances have been praised all around. The films ranks number 15 on the IMDB's Top 250 chart.
