This somewhat-biographical (for the director) award-winning film is the tale of a controversial Greek film director who returns to Greece after several years in America. He is searching for three missing reels of film which he believes hold the key to lost innocence and essential truth. The storyline is not the most important part of the film, but rather the film as art.
