A shy girl marries a oil rigger. Soon after, he has an accident and is paralysed from the neck down. Unable to have sex, he instructs his wife to sleep with other men and tell him about it. She eventually agrees in the belief that her actions will help him get better. Her behaviour becomes increasingly deviant until the film reaches its shocking climax.
