That Thing You Do

The story of the rise to fame of a Beatles-like pop group, supposedly during the 1960s. We follow their growing popularity as a result of a single song, and also the conflict between the new drummer and the group's leader. The film has received widely varing reviews, from 'bland and squeaky clean' to 'sweetly nostalgic, gloriously evocative and universally appealing.'
