A seven year old orphan boy has to go to live with his mother's foster sister, who is not exactly thilled by the idea - she is much more interested in business. To help himself cope with this rejection, he invents an invisible friend - a kind of father figure. They have various adventures and eventually he and his foster mother become friends.
